Another Unpleasant Truth

Savage brutes armed with spears and clubs might have been replaced with gentle and civilised white-collar executives operating high-tech equipment in an underground base half a world away from the nearest target, but one thing didn’t change in all those millennia – the inherently violent nature of war. And, those who take war as their profession are, in one way or another, attracted to the violence.

Since our times are so different from the past decade that gave us seemingly quick, simple and painless PG-13 wars, this unpleasant truth tends to be more evident. One of the examples can be found in this statement.

Although many people might be appalled with those words, I’m not. General Mattis only told one universal, albeit unpleasant truth.
