T-Com’s Royalist Delight

RTL Televizija lived to its “infotainment” principles by airing British royal wedding live. It also lived to its reputation of the cash box for T-Com, Croatian main phone operator.

They produced two numbers for televoting and offered two options for the viewers –they had to choose between Prince Charles or Prince William as a person more suitable to succeed Queen Elizabeth at British throne.

Interestingly enough, RTL Televizija didn’t leave any option for those viewers who are staunch republicans or those who prefer some other member of British royal family.

I don’t anyone will know how many people actually voted, but I guess that the number is much higher than in phone polls with some actual relevance to this country.
