[ELECTION 2005] Second Round More Likely

PULS has updated its exit poll with results from 18:30 CET. According to them, Mesić's margin of victory has slipped for almost 1 percent.

Stipe Mesić (Stipe Mesic) – 50.96 %

Boris Mikšić (Boris Miksic) – 19.87 %

Jadranka Kosor – 17.30 %

Đurđa Adlešić (Djurdja Adlesic) – 3.03 %

Slaven Letica – 2.41 %

Ljubo Ćesić-Rojs (Ljubo Cesic-Rojs) – 1.83 %

Ivić Pašalić (Ivic Pasalic) – 1.37 %

Miroslav "Ćiro" Blažević (Miroslav "Ciro" Blazevic) – 0.86 %

Miroslav Rajh – 0.75 %

Anto Kovačević (Anto Kovacevic) – 0.6 %

Doris Košta (Doris Kosta) – 0.34 %

Miroslav Kešer (Miroslav Keser) – 0.3 %

Tomislav Petrak – 0.1 %

Ratko Maček (Ratko Macek) repeated his optimistic claim to HRT. According to him, Kosor gets in 2nd round because HDZ internal polling shows 20-21 % and Mesić (Mesic) below50 %.

Slaven Letica is, on the other hand, displeased with the way media has broke the news about exit polls but he too expects second round, but with Mesić and Boris Mikšić (Boris Miksic).

Boris Mikšić also gave statement to HRT. He too is confident of second round. He expects to rise to 20-25 %.

The returns from polling stations abroad – even Bosnia-Herzegovina – won't be available by midnight. Only then Croatians will know whether there will be second round and whether expatriate Croats will play the role they never had played in the history of democratic Croatia.
