Post-Debate Excitement

I watched parts of 1st Bush vs. Kerry debate and I must agree with most of the pundits and polls – Kerry won this one. Kerry won mostly on style rather than substance and this wasn't a spectacular knock-out Democrats had hoped for and Republicans feared, but it was enough to put Kerry back in the race. Bush wasn't bad, but that was obviously not enough against experienced debater like Kerry. I expect Kerry to improve his poll numbers a little bit, but not decisively. Any major impression this debate could have under normal circumstances is going to be drowned in the sea of partisan spin.

Croatian media, which had slowly began to ignore Bush vs. Kerry race in order not to upset overwhelmingly anti-Bush sentiments of their viewers and readers with the news of Bush's apparent lead, might take new interest in the US elections.
